Do I need to use my Lifeline phone regularly?

If you pay nothing out of pocket for Lifeline service, USAC says to use it at least once every 30 days or a 15-day notice may follow.

  • USAC or your state checks your Lifeline eligibility each year.
  • If you receive a request to recertify, respond within 60 days.
